Hi Joe – we have updated the Cash Forecaster you sent, so that you can now format the columns and rows. It has been returned back to you to the same email address.
Thank you for your feedback on support though.
We may still add the paid for support option, so people have the choice of free support here, versus a paid-for ‘immediate’ telephone support service.
Thank you for your custom and I hope that whatever you need these Cash Flow Forecasts for, this all works out well for you.
Regards, Russell
Hi Joe – I confirm your email has been received – I cannot remove the protection, but I will change the protection to allow you to change the column widths – is there anything else you’d like to be able to do too.
Regards, Russell
Hi Joe, Thank you for your message, sorry I miss-read your first message – the only sheets where the password protection is blank are the reports – all the others are password protected and I don’t give out that password, sorry.
Send your working sheet to info(at)bowraven(dot)com and I will change the way these sheets work for you – but I take on board what you’ve said and will change the ‘protection’ to allow for these types of ‘minor’ change in the way you describe.
Also, the reason for support on this forum in this way is because it’s free and the idea is for others to benefit from questions (like yours) and find the answers.
I apologise for any inconvenience caused to you.
I have been thinking about offering an annual fee-charging type support – would you be happy to pay for this service?
Regards, Russell
Hi Joe, on the report sheets the password is blank, so just press enter on this. Just be careful not to amend or touch any on the formulas. Always keep a master copy of Cash Forecaster, just in case.
17th May 2017 at 10:06 pm in reply to: Not all populated rows are appearing on Reports on screen or when printed #2224Hello Chris,
Please will you let me know which version of Cash Forecaster you are running, as this will help to work out what the problem is here.
Are you saying that these rows are not there from the start – have you run the macro to hide rows for printing? I’m not quite clear on the question, sorry.
Have you tried to run the macro to show all rows and then re-hide the rows – if I’m understanding the question correctly
Hello Peter, thank you for your question and I apologise for my delayed response.
Yes you can do this, but the data is set up to only allow whole numbers to avoid any unnecessary small differences.
To do this you can use the ‘Round’ function.
Just in case you are not familiar with this Excel function here is an example:
=round(Cell*COS%,0)
– Where the ‘Cell’ = the cell you want to work out the cost of sale percentage, which would be where your sales line is.
– Where the COS% = the Cost of Sales percent, which can be represented as 0.40 where the cost of sale percent is 40% etc.I hope this makes sense, let me know if you have any further questions in this, or if you need further explanation.
Thank you, and a Happy New Year to you.
Hi Ian, when you are entering the asset enter the purchase month as for example, 24 for two years, or 18 for 1 year and 6 months and so on.
Hello Ian, okay let me know how you get on with reducing them down.
You’ve given me an idea, if I produced an optional overhead report without the sub headings, I could get more on the report without the text looking too small. However, it is set up with the sub-headings to correspond with the profit and loss report, and this would need some re-thinking too, as it’s important they correspond.
Let me know and we can go from there, but I’d be concerned at having 32 expense headings as this is another 9. The text would be very small and hard to read.
Regards.
Hi Ian, at present the software only caters for 120 day payment terms, sorry.
The new version which is being worked on will cater for 12 months forward, but I can’t promise when this will be ready. Probably early 2017.
Sorry.
Hello Ian, the 48 headings on the ‘Info’ tab are so you can add new ones, to then select them from the drop down list on the ‘Data’ tab, rather than over type the existing ones.
What you select on the ‘Data’ tab for each expense heading is what shows up on the ‘Overheads’ report, which has been restricted to the 23 headings, as this is what would fit on the page, otherwise the text would be too small to read.
Out of interest how many expense headings were you looking for for your business. The trouble is that too many will make the text too small to read.
Are you able to combine some of your expense headings in any way?
I hope this answers your questions.
Hello Paul,
Thank you for your message.
At present the way it is set up is to apply a percentage across all sales. So for example if 80% of your sales were ID applicable you enter this as your percentage. You then enter the percentage of that amount that will be advanced from the Invoice Discounting company.
I am working on an upgraded version which addresses this, but this may take some time to finalise.
At present the new version will probably be able to cope with different ID advance rates too.
Sorry this may not be the answer you were looking for.
If you have any further questions, please let me know.
Thank you for the file – as I confirmed in the email, I’m not quite sure how this happened, as I couldn’t replicate the error in the original Cash Forecaster Software, but I have corrected all the dates in the reports and this all works fine again for you.
Hi actually you are on version 4.1.2. If you send me your file I will take a look for you cheers
Hello Simon, please will you confirm which version you have and I’ll take a look. Also, if you send a copy of the file you are working on to [email protected] I will see if there is anything I can do on your file to correct it for you. Thank you
Hello Richard,
Yes it looks like we are talking at cross purposes here – sorry about that.
The Balance Sheet tab is set up to show the closing balance sheet position at the end of each year end rather than at the end of each month.
You are able to produce a monthly report for each month end using the “Monthly” tab, but as you say this will take some time based upon what you want to do.
We are working on version 5.1 of the Cash Flow Software, and it could be that I incorporate this “Monthly Balance Sheet” report into this new version. However, this will be a while in production yet.
Looking at the numbers and the sheets in Cash Forecaster plus how the balance sheet report is compiled it looks like this can be done relatively easily. Although it will take a bit of time to do for you.
If this is important to you and you are not able to wait for Version 5.1 I could do an interim upgrade for you. However, as this is a special one off I will have to charge for this. The fee would be £75 plus VAT.
Please let me know what you would like to do.
